Seraphina’s POV
The Council Alphas exchanged glances across the room. Each one of them understood what uniting those two packs would mean. I would become the strongest leader our kind had ever known.
"I carry the blood of the White Wolf," I declared, feeling the familiar surge of power building inside me. My eyes erupted with brilliant white light that filled every corner of the room. "Healing flows through me, but so does destruction. I choose to extend friendship to you. I choose to work alongside this Council. Peace is what I want for our world."
I let that blazing light wash over each Alpha, watching them squirm in their seats.
"However," I continued, and my voice transformed into something that rumbled like countless wolves calling across the night. "Should you move against me in any way, should you bring harm to my mate, my children, or a single member of either pack under my protection, then you will discover exactly why our ancestors warned everyone to tremble at the mention of the White Wolf."
I began circling the massive conference table, my steps deliberate as I approached the Alpha King. He attempted to project strength, but his body betrayed him as he pressed back into his chair.
"Cowardice once ruled my actions," I admitted, memories of those months spent in hiding flashing through my mind. "I allowed myself to become prey. Weakness defined me for too long. Those days are finished. Choose fairness, and I will be the greatest ally you could ask for. But cross me?" I leaned closer to the trembling Alpha King. "And I promise you will face an enemy unlike any you have ever imagined. Trust me when I say this, Alphas... you do not want that."
I placed my palm against the solid wood of their precious table. A controlled burst of my power shot through the surface. The wood groaned and split, a jagged crack racing from one end to the other like lightning.
Chairs scraped frantically against the floor as every Alpha scrambled backward. The sound echoed through the suddenly cold room.
"This territory is my home now," I announced. "The Zenith Fang will know my leadership alongside my husband. The Nebula Fang will receive my protection from every danger that threatens them. Your laws will have my respect as long as justice guides them. But never, never speak to me again about supervision or monitoring."
Silence pressed down on us like a weight. The old clock mounted on the wall seemed to tick louder now. Each moment stretched between us.
The Alpha King stared at the destroyed table, then lifted his gaze to Julian. My mate sat perfectly still, radiating pride in everything I had just done. He showed no signs of wanting to rein me in. If anything, he looked ready to help me tear apart whatever else needed destroying.
Blackwood rose from his chair, his throat working as he swallowed hard. The other Alphas followed his lead, standing as one unit.
"Luna Seraphina," Blackwood began, and gone was the authoritative tone of a judge. Now he sounded like a man who recognized he had been thoroughly outmaneuvered. "Your message comes through clearly. We comprehend your position completely."
"Excellent," I replied. The supernatural light dimmed in my eyes, and warmth began creeping back into the space around us.
"Your authority over both packs has our acceptance," the Alpha King managed, his voice strained. "The Zenith Fang and Nebula Fang will be recognized as unified territory under your guardianship. We look forward to a lasting and peaceful alliance."
"As do I," I answered simply.
They filed out of the pack house without another word, climbing into their black vehicles and disappearing down the long driveway. I remained at the window until the last car vanished from sight.
Strong arms slipped around my waist, and Julian drew me back against the solid warmth of his chest. "That was incredible," he murmured against my ear. "I think Alpha Ulysses nearly lost control of his bladder."
Laughter bubbled up from my chest as I let my head fall back against his shoulder. "Every single word was the truth, Julian. No one will ever push me around again."
"I know it was," he said softly. "And that truth is what keeps our pack secure. You did more than rescue us from Jasper. You freed us from the Council’s interference too."
We stayed like that for a long while, gazing out over the land that belonged to us. My thoughts wandered through the path that had brought me here. Childhood memories, the confusion of growing up, the complicated dance Julian and I had shared, my brother Dorian, those cursed spirit jars, and all the darkness we had called magic.
All of it lived in the past now.
A warm tug pulled at my heart, the bond I shared with the Nebula Fang humming with contentment. Even from this distance, I could sense their happiness. They knew their Alpha possessed strength. They knew protection surrounded them.
"What happens next?" Julian asked.
"Next," I said, turning in his embrace, "we track down our children. I believe Theo mentioned something about showing me a magic trick."
"And after that?"
"After that," I whispered, pressing my lips to his in a kiss that tasted like forever, "we simply live. Just the two of us, and our family."
We left the meeting room behind us, abandoning the cracked table like a monument to change itself. It marked the end of an old era and the birth of something new. A world where the White Wolf no longer inspired fear, but commanded love and respect as a true Queen.
Sunshine poured through the windows, bright and warm, and for the first time in my entire existence, absolute certainty filled me. I knew exactly who I was and where I belonged. I was Seraphina. I was the White Wolf. And finally, completely, I was home.
