This left him with only six Tier Four skills to upgrade. He was confident that his visit to the Evolutionary Technology headquarters tomorrow would be fruitful.
...
Early the next morning, Su Ze finished breakfast with Chen Suifeng and took his leave.
He headed straight for the Evolutionary Technology headquarters.
The Evolutionary Technology headquarters was located in the most bustling commercial district of Baihua City, the capital of Lin Hua Country. From a distance, one could see a towering skyscraper emblazoned with the words "Evolutionary Technology."
The first three floors of the building housed its commercial space, serving as Evolutionary Technology’s largest flagship store. Customers flowed in and out in a constant stream, and there were even lines at the checkout.
The office area for the Evolutionary Technology headquarters began on the fourth floor.
The moment Su Ze reached the entrance, a tall, shapely woman in professional attire stepped forward to greet him.
She appeared to be in her twenties, and she offered him a sweet, lovely smile. "You must be Mr. Su? Please follow me. The directors are waiting for you."
Su Ze gave a slight nod and followed her onto the elevator.
Upon arriving at the Evolutionary Technology headquarters, he was warmly welcomed by several directors.
The directors of Evolutionary Technology were either Venerable Powerhouses themselves or hailed from illustrious backgrounds, backed by major clans.
Su Ze exchanged a few pleasantries with the directors, though in truth, he didn’t even bother memorizing their names.
’He simply had little interest in networking.’
’These people are all merchants, and merchants chase profit. A relationship built on mutual benefit is more reliable than any friendship.’
He turned to the bald, middle-aged man who seemed to be their leader and got straight to the point. "Mr. Wu, I’m mainly here to see your company’s treasure vault. Is now a good time?"
The bald man, Mr. Wu, smiled. "Of course. I’ll take you there right away."
Su Ze nodded and followed Mr. Wu to the very center of the floor.
Soon, what looked like a wall of bronze and iron appeared before Su Ze.
Mr. Wu stepped forward with a hint of pride. "Mr. Su, this is the Evolution Technology Headquarters Treasure Vault. It’s forged entirely from an alloy blending the Tier Five ores ’Sinking Lead’ and ’Pan Iron.’ This material can absorb Tier Five energy attacks and is incredibly hard in its own right. Basically, unless a Legendary-level powerhouse comes calling, no one can breach our vault.
"Of course," he added with a chuckle, "if a Legendary powerhouse really did take an interest in our vault, we’d have no choice but to hand it over! Ha ha!"
Su Ze humored Mr. Wu’s unfunny joke while simultaneously using his Perception Tentacles to probe the enormous vault.
The vault spanned three entire floors, and the wall Su Ze faced was just one side of its middle level.
A vault that was over two hundred square meters and three stories tall, forged entirely from Tier Five Super Alloy... Su Ze couldn’t help but marvel at how extravagantly wealthy Evolutionary Technology was.
However, even Tier Five Super Alloy couldn’t block Su Ze’s Perception Tentacles. He extended them inside with ease, and the entire contents of the vault were laid bare before his senses.
He could also clearly feel a powerful pull coming from within the vault.
’Looks like this trip wasn’t for nothing,’ Su Ze thought. ’There are suitable upgrade materials for me in here, and plenty of enhancement materials as well.’
Su Ze knew instantly that this trip was a sure success. He estimated he’d be able to upgrade most of his six remaining Tier Four skills.
’Tsk, tsk. Evolutionary Technology’s collection is quite impressive,’ Su Ze mused as he scanned the treasures within, his eyes filled with a slight longing. ’They have a good number of Tier Six Wondrous Items and Tier Six Extracts.’
He’d certainly never seen these items for sale on Evolutionary Technology’s official website.
Luckily, he didn’t have a great need for Tier Six Extracts at the moment, and he already owned a Tier Six Wondrous Item himself.
"You can open it now, Mr. Wu," Su Ze said.
Before the door had even opened, he already knew its contents like the back of his hand.
Mr. Wu stepped forward to verify his identity. A moment later, the massive vault door began to swing open.
Su Ze strode inside, heading straight for the item that pulled at him the most: a Tier Six Wondrous Item.
