However, that was just a possibility.
Mr. Wu decisively placed the scale back into Su Ze’s hand. "Mr. Su, while a Tier 7 material is valuable, a material is just a material. It’s nowhere near as precious or practical as a Wondrous Item. Therefore, if you want to trade one Tier 7 material for our Tier 6 Wondrous Item, it’s not enough!"
Generally speaking, the value hierarchy among Evolution Items of the same tier is: Wondrous Item > Extract > Medicine > Material.
A Tier 7 material, unless it was exceptionally rare and practical, was truly not as valuable as a Tier 6 Wondrous Item.
"What if I add this natural medicine to the deal?" Su Ze asked, taking out a natural medicine—a single, emerald-green leaf.
This was a Tier 7 healing medicine. Su Ze had many healing methods and a powerful Self-Healing Ability, so he had almost no use for healing medicines. He might as well use it for a trade.
After Su Ze explained the effects of the healing medicine, Mr. Wu was completely sold.
Out in the universe, a Tier 7 material plus a Tier 7 healing medicine might not match the value and utility of a Tier 6 Wondrous Item. But on Blue Star, such things were scarce!
Scarcity creates value. Tier 7 items had been virtually unseen on Blue Star before, naturally making them a hot commodity.
Seeing Mr. Wu still hesitating, Su Ze decisively took out another Tier 7 material that was useless to him.
"Mr. Wu, this is the most sincerity I can offer. If you’re still not satisfied, I won’t insist."
The moment Su Ze took out the third item, Mr. Wu had already made up his mind. He quickly said, "Mr. Su, it’s a rare occasion for you to visit us at Evolutionary Technology. How could we let you leave disappointed? I’ll make the executive decision on this deal and accept it on behalf of the board!"
Su Ze nodded in satisfaction. He handed all three Tier 7 items for the exchange to Mr. Wu and, on the spot, put the Scorpion Tail Needle Wondrous Item, box and all, into his Storage Ring.
Mr. Wu opened his mouth, wanting to say, ’Hey, leave the box!’ That box was made of Tier 5 ore, after all. But in the end, he didn’t say a word.
Next, Su Ze picked through Evolutionary Technology’s treasury, buying up all the materials that appealed to him. After tallying the final bill, Evolutionary Technology even gave him a discount.
Su Ze still had plenty of points in his account, so he paid directly by card. He then declined Mr. Wu’s invitation to lunch and left the Evolution Technology Headquarters immediately.
Watching Su Ze depart like a gust of wind, Mr. Wu scratched his bald head and muttered in confusion, "He didn’t even ask about the Wondrous Item’s specific effects?"
Su Ze traveled straight out of Lin Hua Country, preparing to head to Vita City to find Mr. Ya.
Passing through Dongli, he stopped. He didn’t return to Dongli University, but instead found a secluded spot to absorb all the enhancement materials he had just obtained, including the Tier 6 Wondrous Item.
He first spent over half an hour absorbing the pile of enhancement materials.
The three skills "Ant Power," "Gravity Domain," and "Celestial Sea Wings" were upgraded one after another, becoming Tier 5 skills!
Ant Power (Tier 5, S-Rank): Upon activation, all physical attributes are greatly enhanced, and attacks gain a "Destruction" effect.
Gravity Domain (Tier 5, S-Rank): Allows control over gravity within the domain. Can also form a Gravity Chain to pull a target from outside the domain to any position within it.
Celestial Sea Wings (Tier 5, S-Rank): Condenses evolutionary power into invisible wings, granting the ability of high-speed flight in the sky and travel through water (Water Escape).
The "Ant Power" skill changed from boosting only strength and speed to enhancing all physical attributes; otherwise, there were no other changes.
After its upgrade, "Gravity Domain" didn’t seem much different. The gravity was simply stronger, and when using the Gravity Chain to pull someone, he no longer had to pull them right to his face but could now drag the target to any point within the domain.
As a Flying Skill, "Celestial Sea Wings" didn’t change much, aside from a speed increase. Unlike the upgrade from Tier 3 to Tier 4, it didn’t gain a new ability like "Water Escape."
For a Flying Skill to gain new effects, it would probably need to be upgraded to Tier 7.
At this point, Su Ze only had three skills left that were not yet upgraded to Tier 5 or higher.
It was worth noting that his "Needle Strike" skill, after multiple enhancements, was already infinitely close to Tier 5. However, the Tier 6 Scorpion Tail Needle Wondrous Item in his hand was very likely the key to upgrading "Needle Strike."
But that was fine. Every skill enhancement made the skill stronger, so it wasn’t a waste.
Su Ze took out the Tier 6 Scorpion Tail Needle Wondrous Item. Having absorbed Wondrous Items to upgrade skills many times before, he knew that each one had a specific absorption method that he needed to figure out.
He began to experiment: dripping blood, injecting evolutionary power, attacking the Scorpion Tail Needle with "Needle Strike"...
After a round of attempts, nothing worked. Only one last option remained in Su Ze’s mind—an option he didn’t want to try.
Stabbing himself with the Scorpion Tail Needle.
Through his recent experiments, he had already figured out the general purpose of this Tier 6 Wondrous Item. It was a purely offensive item that fired its tail needle at enemies. Its power was undoubtedly at the Tier 6 level, far surpassing his current "Needle Strike" skill, and it even seemed to be laced with a Tier 6 poison.
Stabbing himself with such a deadly weapon... ’This feels a bit dangerous,’ Su Ze thought.
But with no other ideas, he had no choice but to try.
He first used Liquefaction on his body and stabbed himself once. There was no reaction.
