"Fen was a good person," Su Ze lamented. "He just had a hard life."
Su Ze looked at Bai Guishou, a smile that wasn’t quite a smile on his face. "One last question. If I kill you right now, will you come back to life?"
Bai Guishou’s face instantly turned ashen, and he hurriedly begged for mercy. "I still know many of the Filth Earth Organization’s secrets! I’m still very useful! It would be a waste to kill me now!"
Su Ze scoffed and said to Mr. Ya, "You watch him. I’m going to infiltrate the stronghold first."
With that, his entire body liquefied. After a moment of transformation, he had become a small old man in a white suit with a white beard, a perfect replica of Bai Guishou down to the last hair.
In truth, he’d never planned on killing Bai Guishou. Su Ze wasn’t sure if the man could be resurrected after death, though he suspected it wasn’t possible.
Still, there was no need to take that risk. If Bai Guishou did somehow come back to life, it would surely alert the Filth Earth Organization and put them on guard prematurely.
If that happened, Su Ze’s attempt to infiltrate the stronghold by impersonating Bai Guishou would be doomed to fail.
The moment Bai Guishou heard he wouldn’t be killed, he breathed a sigh of relief, only to be knocked unconscious by Mr. Ya with a shovel the very next second.
Hoisting Bai Guishou up like a dead dog, Mr. Ya asked, "Boss, are you sure you don’t need me to come with you?"
’They had captured Bai Guishou, so Su Ze had to take his place. Otherwise, the Filth Earth Organization would definitely grow suspicious.’
’The only thing was, Su Ze wasn’t Bai Guishou, after all. If the impersonation went on for too long, he was bound to slip up.’
"Don’t worry. I observed Bai Guishou for a full day and night. I know his daily routine, so the chances of blowing my cover are slim. Besides, it’ll only be for a day or two."
Bai Guishou’s job was actually quite relaxed, and he didn’t have much contact with other people, so it wouldn’t be difficult to manage.
Su Ze had contacted Chen Suifeng earlier today. Chen Suifeng told him that Lin Hua Country would be launching its operation tomorrow, preparing to move against both Ancient An Country and the Filth Earth Organization.
They would find out then whether Pulamon would appear.
If Pulamon didn’t come to Lin Hua Continent to provide support, Su Ze would abandon the Bai Guishou identity without hesitation and retreat.
If Pulamon did come, he could use his identity as Bai Guishou to get close, find an opportunity for a successful sneak attack, grab what he wanted, and then flee.
This was far more reliable than confronting Pulamon head-on.
In a direct confrontation, Su Ze wouldn’t just be facing Pulamon, but likely also a siege by many other powerful members of the Filth Earth Organization.
Seeing this, Mr. Ya said no more. He took Bai Guishou and went into hiding, prepared to provide backup for Su Ze at a moment’s notice.
Su Ze, meanwhile, took Bai Guishou’s phone and a pile of storage items filled with various supplies, and walked toward the Filth Earth Organization’s stronghold inside Desolate Mountain.
Since Su Ze was unable to unlock Bai Guishou’s phone, he had to constantly manipulate it with his Spiritual Power to prevent it from locking. This was hardly a difficult task for him.
He made his way into Desolate Mountain without a hitch, and upon arriving at the main gate of the base, his identity was verified, and he passed through easily.
However, this was only the first line of defense, which was manned by personnel. The second was a machine that performed blood tests. Su Ze made a show of inserting his finger into the blood-drawing device, then used a Space Jump to pass directly through the gate.
From there, he navigated the familiar route to the warehouse where Bai Guishou worked, where he began to organize and take inventory of the various newly arrived supplies.
Su Ze mimicked Bai Guishou’s rhythm, performing the tasks at a leisurely pace, sorting the received supplies by category and placing them on the corresponding shelves in the warehouse.
After finishing his work, he emulated Bai Guishou by leaning back in a rocking chair, lighting a cigarette, and rocking gently.
His mind, however, was focused on the two phones inside his Storage Ring, ensuring he wouldn’t miss a message.
Before long, a message came from Chen Suifeng.
"Just a moment ago, Jiang Pingle summoned the Holy Envoy of Ancient An Country back to the Sovereign Country to report on his work. We don’t know if the envoy will answer the call."
’If he goes, he’ll likely be called to account. If he doesn’t go, it means he’s rebelling!’
