In reality, Su Ze was practically seething with hatred for Deng Sui.
The moment he stopped attacking, Deng Sui would stop too, giving Pulamon a chance to catch his breath and fight back against the parasitic water sphere.
But if he attacked Pulamon, Deng Sui would join in like a mad dog, clearly intending to kill Pulamon alongside Su Ze.
He would rather see Pulamon dead than let Su Ze’s parasitism succeed.
After all, if the parasitism succeeded, Su Ze would essentially gain a legendary-level avatar, which also meant the Blue Star Party would have one more Legendary Combat Power on their side!
This put Su Ze in a dilemma. He couldn’t attack, but he couldn’t not attack either.
But Su Ze was obviously unwilling to give up this golden opportunity!
It would be hard to come across such a perfect setup again—happening to simulate the Pope’s "Blood and Flesh Parasite" skill just as a suitable host appeared.
Besides, Pulamon might hold the third puzzle piece, which was another reason Su Ze wanted to parasitize him.
He had to consider one possibility: what if the third puzzle piece wasn’t in Pulamon’s personal storage item? What would he do then?
If Pulamon had given the puzzle piece to someone else, or hidden it somewhere, the trail would go cold the moment he died!
But as long as the parasitism was successful, Pulamon wouldn’t technically be dead. Parasitism wasn’t the same as killing; the parasitized Pulamon would still be alive, just under Su Ze’s control. Then, Su Ze could naturally learn the whereabouts of the third puzzle piece from his memories.
With the third puzzle piece and a Legendary Combat Power at stake, this was far too important for Su Ze.
He absolutely would not allow anyone to interfere!
The key issue was that he couldn’t attack Deng Sui. Leaving aside the question of whether he could even win, attacking Deng Sui at this moment would be seen as helping the Filth Earth Organization attack a high-ranking official of Lin Hua Country—an act against humanity.
It was the same reason Deng Sui couldn’t save the Pope when Su Ze had attacked him earlier.
Su Ze temporarily retreated and casually electrocuted another one of the defiled ones Mr. Ya had captured.
He noticed that the Overlords and Venerable Powerhouses from the Filth Earth Organization had already vanished without a trace.
They had seen their Great Elder, Pulamon, getting beaten up by Su Ze and Deng Sui combined and figured the situation was hopeless, so they’d bailed early.
Their actions weren’t wrong. The Filth Earth Organization had no other reinforcements, and their defeat was almost certain. Once Su Ze and Deng Sui finished off Pulamon, they would surely turn on them next, and there would be no escape.
At this point, the parasitic water sphere had already taken over half of Pulamon’s brain, severely affecting his thoughts and causing a noticeable decline in his combat power.
If Su Ze and Deng Sui were to attack together now, they could likely take him out in one fell swoop.
But even without Su Ze’s help, Deng Sui alone was more than enough to utterly crush Pulamon in his current state, and that’s exactly what he was doing.
The man was like a mad dog, lunging forward and unleashing his full power. It looked like he intended to kill Pulamon before Su Ze could complete the parasitism.
Su Ze was seething, but he couldn’t openly help Pulamon.
The only thing he could do was hold back and control the water sphere in Pulamon’s brain to accelerate the parasitic process.
’This is not good. If this keeps up, Pulamon won’t last long enough for the parasitism to complete!’
Seeing Deng Sui punch through Pulamon’s chest and rip out his heart, Su Ze knew he had to do something.
He secretly took out a box of Tier 7 Healing Medicine from his Storage Ring and swallowed the entire contents at once.
A torrential amount of life energy was stored within Su Ze’s body, but since he had no injuries, he didn’t absorb it.
Then, Su Ze drew upon a portion of that life energy and infused it into his "Impact Cannon" skill.
He pretended to coordinate with Deng Sui in attacking Pulamon, rushing forward and hitting Pulamon with a "Salute of Life."
Impact Cannon (Tier 5, S-Rank): Absorb surrounding energy and matter (can be absorbed as a mixture), compress it within the body, and then release it. The larger the user’s body, the more powerful the skill.
After the "Impact Cannon" skill was upgraded, it could absorb a mixture of various substances. Therefore, this particular blast from Su Ze was primarily electrical current, mixed with a hodgepodge of other energies and materials absorbed from the surroundings, with the high-grade Tier 7 life energy blended in as well.
Deng Sui thought Su Ze had given up on parasitizing Pulamon and had rushed up to land a blow, but he immediately sensed something was wrong.
After taking that "Impact Cannon" blast, Pulamon did indeed suffer a blow at first, and his injuries worsened. But right after, his condition actually started to improve!
Something was wrong!
’Could it be that Pulamon has another trump card, one that can heal his injuries?’
Deng Sui’s assault grew even fiercer. Su Ze kept pace, unleashing a dense bombardment of "Impact Cannon" blasts at Pulamon.
But the result was that the more they hit Pulamon, the more invigorated he seemed to become!
Not only were his injuries not getting worse, but even his previous wounds were starting to heal.
’Who gets healed by taking a beating?’
Deng Sui was finally certain: Su Ze was behind this!
"Su Ze, stand down. Leave this to me!" Deng Sui said, his tone cold and hard.
"How could I do that! It is everyone’s duty to punish evil. How can I stand by and watch Mr. Deng fight all alone!" Su Ze refused, his voice filled with righteous conviction.
Deng Sui was at a loss. He couldn’t attack Su Ze, nor could he force him to leave.
"The rest of you, attack together!" Deng Sui ordered the six Venerables from Lin Hua Country below. The only solution he could think of was to increase their damage output, hoping to overwhelm the healing Su Ze was providing to Pulamon.
