Su Ze held the highest captain’s authority on the Magic Cube. He then granted Mr. Ya pilot access as well.
The two began their tour of the spaceship.
Su Ze’s primary concern was the power supply. However, the Magic Cube possessed a more advanced energy system than the Tree Spirit Race’s ship. Not only could it absorb and convert external energy to recharge, but its storage capacity was also far greater.
Su Ze tried charging the Magic Cube himself. After using his "Expansion" skill, all the electrical energy in his body could only charge the ship by about 5%.
Fully charging the Magic Cube would take Su Ze a considerable amount of effort.
Fortunately, once fully charged, it could operate for a very long time under normal use, provided it wasn’t attacked.
Like the Tree Spirit Race’s ship, the Magic Cube’s interior was equipped with dedicated living quarters, complete with a full range of recreational facilities. It also had a control room, warehouse, training room, and so on.
However, the Magic Cube’s training room lacked the training acceleration effect found on the Tree Spirit Race’s ship.
That feature had been installed later by the ship’s previous owner.
It wasn’t just the training room. The cultivation chamber, the Lighting Room, the physique-enhancing hot spring—all of these features on the Tree Spirit Race’s ship had been installed or modified by its owner.
The Magic Cube also had many vacant areas with no designated purpose, leaving their future use up to Su Ze.
The Magic Cube was like a luxury car. Although higher-end than the Tree Spirit Race’s ship, all its special features had to be added on.
A stock luxury car isn’t necessarily better equipped than a standard one.
He certainly lacked the ability and resources to modify the ship at the moment, so that would have to wait.
Although the Magic Cube fell short of the Tree Spirit Race’s ship in terms of amenities, it completely outclassed it when it came to its energy and propulsion systems, as well as its defensive capabilities.
Su Ze called Pulamon aboard the ship to help him charge the Magic Cube.
With their combined efforts, they finally managed to charge the Magic Cube to 15%. It was time for its first test flight.
Piloting the ship was incredibly simple. Su Ze just had to issue a command, select a destination or set a course, and the Magic Cube would fly automatically, requiring no manual control.
With a single thought, Su Ze put the Magic Cube into stealth mode, and it slowly ascended into the sky.
Invisibility was a basic function for a ship of this caliber. The Tree Spirit Race’s ship either didn’t have it, or the feature had malfunctioned due to damage.
As a Sun God-level Spaceship, the Magic Cube’s invisibility was currently undetectable by anyone on Blue Star. Su Ze could fly freely through the planet’s skies without any worry.
The Magic Cube’s surface was covered by an invisible Energy Shield. With sufficient power, this shield could withstand a full-force attack from a Sun God-level expert.
The strongest being on Blue Star was currently the quasi-Tier 7 Sponge Beast. Piloting the Magic Cube, Su Ze could basically do whatever he wanted on the planet.
However, the Magic Cube was now Su Ze’s trump card. He needed to keep it a secret and had no intention of letting the Nian Race find out about it.
He couldn’t risk the Nian Race making it a target.
"Boss, where are we headed?" Mr. Ya asked excitedly.
It was his first time test-flying the Magic Cube, and Su Ze was also a little excited. The two of them were like a couple of teenagers taking a souped-up motorcycle for its first spin.
"Let’s... let’s go to the Central Sea. We’ll see if that sponge has become a god yet!" Su Ze declared, making up his mind.
’If they were going to go somewhere, they might as well go to the most dangerous place on Blue Star.’
The Magic Cube instantly vanished.
The next moment, it appeared in the sky above the Central Sea.
"We’re here," Su Ze said.
Mr. Ya stared at the azure sea below through the ship’s window, his eyes wide and his jaw slack. "Is there any difference between this and instant teleportation?"
’It was unrealistically fast!’
’But on second thought, this was faster-than-Sun-God-level flight speed. It was to be expected.’
’It only felt so fast because the distance was short. Crossing the entirety of Blue Star wouldn’t take much time in the Magic Cube.’
’But in the grand scale of the universe, Blue Star is just a speck of dust. This speed wouldn’t feel nearly as fast during interstellar travel.’
The ship slowly submerged, flying beneath the waves. It traveled all the way to the bottom of the trench where he had last found the Sponge Beast.
The area was deathly silent, lacking the bustling activity from his last visit.
On the surface, it looked like nothing was there. The Great Sea Shell was gone, as was the Crab Beast that used it as a home, and there was no sign of the Sponge Beast either.
But when Su Ze connected his Spiritual Power to the Magic Cube’s detection system, it clearly scanned all three creatures at the bottom of the trench!
Su Ze didn’t dare use his own Perception Tentacles to probe the area. The New King Sponge had likely already become a god-level beast, and his tentacles would be instantly detected by a creature of that rank.
The Magic Cube’s detection system, however, could evade god-level senses and see through the disguise of a Tier 7 beast.
’Normally, after I discovered their location last time, they should have moved somewhere else to be safe.’
’But for some reason, they seemed unwilling or unable to leave.’
The Sponge Beast had apparently used some kind of Illusion Technique or a similar trick to conceal their presence. Yet, with the Magic Cube’s help, Su Ze not only detected them easily but also confirmed that the Sponge Beast had indeed become a god-level creature!
It must have just recently completed its seventh evolution, as the energy fluctuations within its body were still unstable.
’Are they unwilling to leave because of the Sands of Time?’
Su Ze suspected that this place, right beneath the Great Sea Shell, was the source of the Sands of Time.
He desperately needed the Sands of Time. He currently had two large pieces he’d stolen from the Crab Beast.
But the golden energy within those two pieces was clearly not enough to fuel his rapid ascent to godhood.
’The Sponge Beast has reached god-level. Will it attack humanity?’
’Whether it attacks humanity or not, the Nian Race won’t let it be. They need Tier 7 extracts to cultivate their own god-level experts.’
Su Ze didn’t mind if the Nian Race eliminated the Sponge Beast. He just didn’t want the Sands of Time, with all its golden energy, to fall into their hands.
’What if I waited for the Nian Race experts to besiege the Sponge Beast, then snuck into its lair and cleaned out all the Sands of Time? Wouldn’t that be perfect?’
’The only catch is that their battlefield can’t be here...’
