When Su Ze learned these details about the Magic Cube, the grin on his face was impossible to suppress.
Initially, he’d felt a twinge of regret for not getting a Golden Bloodline Crystal—a Divine Blood Crystal—but that feeling was now completely gone, replaced by sheer ecstasy!
At first, Su Ze hadn’t thought he really needed a spaceship.
Especially since the Magic Cube was a brand-new, unused ship. This meant that, unlike the Tree Spirit Race’s vessel, it wouldn’t have any treasures left behind by a previous owner.
Besides, Su Ze already had free use of the Tree Spirit Race’s ship, so having another one seemed rather pointless.
But after comparing the performance of the two spaceships, Su Ze could only conclude that the Tree Spirit Race’s ship was absolute junk!
According to the manual, spaceships also had different classes.
The Tree Spirit Race ship was probably a Star God-level Spaceship, and a damaged one at that; many of its systems were no longer up to spec.
As for the Magic Cube? It was a Sun God-level Spaceship!
And what was a Sun God-level Spaceship?
The standard was simple: it had to be faster than a Sun God-level powerhouse, and its Energy Defense Shield, when fully charged, had to be capable of withstanding a full-power attack from one!
The Magic Cube met both criteria!
In other words, the Magic Cube was capable of escaping the pursuit of a Sun God.
This also meant that as long as Su Ze could afford the Magic Cube’s energy consumption, he could leave Blue Star right now and begin his journey through the cosmos.
The Magic Cube didn’t fear pursuit from a single Sun God. Only multiple Sun Gods working together, or an entity above the Sun God level, could pose a threat to the Magic Cube.
And in reality, even Sun Gods were considered major figures in the universe; they weren’t a dime a dozen. So the chances of that happening were practically zero.
With the Magic Cube spaceship, Su Ze could now traverse most regions of the universe in safety.
He could even complete the Mother Tree’s request right now: take her master to the Tree Spirit Race for treatment.
Of course, Su Ze had no intention of leaving just yet. His current level of strength was still far from enough to go exploring the universe. He couldn’t just hide on his ship forever; sooner or later, he’d have to find a place to settle down and interact with other cosmic life-forms.
’I’ll at least wait until I’ve received the core inheritance before considering leaving Blue Star.
’Still, this ship gives me more confidence. Even if powerhouses from the Nian Race’s Mother Star do arrive, I’ll have a good chance of escaping.’
Of course, Su Ze still didn’t intend to take that risk. He planned to leave Blue Star before the experts from the Nian Race’s Mother Star arrived.
If the Nian Race sent a powerhouse above the Sun God level, or if the arriving Nian Race members were also traveling in a Sun God-level ship—or better—then he’d be trapped with no hope of escape.
On the bright side, he could now consider taking more people with him. The Magic Cube could hold a sizable number of passengers, so when the time came, all the people he was close to could board the ship and leave Blue Star alongside him.
Overall, Su Ze was extremely satisfied with obtaining the Magic Cube. To him, it was even more practical than a Divine Blood Crystal.
He scanned the internal Inheritance Space one last time. Confirming there was nothing else of value, he turned and walked toward the portal through which he had entered.
This portal had remained open ever since he came in.
Stepping through, Su Ze found himself back at the inheritance point in the Myriad Beast Mountain Range.
The moment Mr. Ya saw Su Ze emerge, he rushed over and asked excitedly, "Boss, how was the haul?"
"Excellent!" Su Ze nodded, satisfied. He glanced back at the portal leading to the internal Inheritance Space, which was still there.
As long as a puzzle piece was here, the portal would remain. However, no one could pass through it without holding one of the pieces.
Su Ze was actually tempted to lie in wait. He now held three of the puzzle pieces; only one was still out in the wild.
This meant that, besides him, only the holder of the fourth puzzle piece could enter the internal Inheritance Space.
If he staked out the area inside the internal Inheritance Space, he might just run into the holder of the fourth piece.
However, he didn’t have that much time to waste here right now. If his stakeout yielded no results, it would be a complete waste of time.
As for having someone else take his place, there were no suitable candidates.
Having Mr. Ya lie in wait for him would be too dangerous. Mr. Ya was only Overlord-level; if the newcomer was stronger, it would be a problem. Besides, Mr. Ya’s damage output was too low to stop them from leaving.
Pulamon would be a good choice, as he was strong enough, but he was one of the Defiled. He couldn’t even pass the trial for the outer inheritance, making it impossible for him to enter the internal Inheritance Space.
Su Ze had no choice but to give up on the idea for now. He could always try again later if the circumstances were right.
He figured the holder of the fourth puzzle piece wouldn’t be visiting the internal Inheritance Space often, anyway. After all, there was nothing more for them to gain.
"Let’s go. We’re going outside to take my new spaceship for a test flight," Su Ze said, pulling Mr. Ya toward the exit.
...
When Mr. Ya saw the palm-sized cube in Su Ze’s hand suddenly transform—in a dazzling display worthy of an Autobot—into a sleek, silver-gray spaceship, he was left completely stunned.
’This is way cooler than that plant-covered ship from the Tree Spirit Race!’
Gazing at the Magic Cube’s stylish exterior, Su Ze was also extremely pleased. The ship could freely adjust its external size without affecting its internal dimensions. At the moment, he had it hovering at a length of just over ten meters.
Su Ze and Mr. Ya entered the ship. Compared to the Tree Spirit Race’s vessel, the Magic Cube’s interior had a much more modern, high-tech feel, dominated by a silver-gray metallic aesthetic.
