Chapter 555 - 336: Golden Falcon (2)

They all knew that given Mr. Ke’s character, he considered protecting the Lin Hua Continent his primary duty. If he learned that the Lin Hua Continent was suffering such a catastrophe, he would stop at nothing to intervene.

But if that happened, it would play right into the Alien Party’s hands.

"You all know Mr. Ke’s physical condition. He can probably only act once. Once Mr. Ke falls, our Blue Star Party will be leaderless. In terms of both strength and prestige, no one else can shoulder the burden. How will we contend with the Alien Party then?" Chen Suifeng retorted.

"That’s right. This might be Jiang Pingle and the others’ overt scheme. They’ve intentionally created this situation to force Mr. Ke to act. I would rather lose a few more cities, and another million people, than let anything happen to Mr. Ke!" Lin Tiannan said resolutely.

The others immediately fell silent.

Everyone knew Mr. Ke’s importance to the Blue Star Party. As long as Mr. Ke was alive, he was an unseen deterrent. He was also the spiritual leader of the entire Blue Star Party. Without him, the Blue Star Party could not have assembled its current forces, nor would they have the confidence to fight against the Nian Race.

Mr. Ke was old and didn’t have much time left.

But before a new leader for the Blue Star Party could emerge, nothing could happen to him!

A new leader would need to command the respect of the masses and possess Legendary-level strength. Both qualities were indispensable.

Unfortunately, the Blue Star Party had yet to find a second Legendary-level individual. Whether it was Chen Suifeng or Lin Tiannan, while their prestige might be sufficient, their strength fell just short.

After a long silence, someone sighed. "What if a tier-6 alien beast attacks a city? How are we supposed to handle that?"

Lin Tiannan said, "We’ll have to be the ones to hold the line. I brought all of the Lin Family’s tier-6 artifacts with me this time, precisely to deal with this kind of situation."

Chen Suifeng also said, "I’ve already had Evolutionary Technology and Life Pharmaceutical notified to temporarily requisition all the tier-6 artifacts in their vaults. I also brought every usable tier-6 artifact from the national treasury. When the time comes, we Venerable Powerhouses, coordinating with multiple tier-6 artifacts, should be able to keep a tier-6 alien beast occupied for a while."

Everyone nodded. It was the only way.

Just then, they all received a message at the same time—multiple tier-6 alien beasts were attacking from the west of Lin Hua Country!

Their expressions changed in unison. "They’re tier-6 Beast Kings from the Myriad Beast Mountain Range!"

The Myriad Beast Mountain Range was located west of the Lin Hua Continent, separated from it by the Desolate Desert.

Evidently, this was a tide of alien beasts from the Myriad Beast Mountain Range that had crossed the Desolate Desert to attack the Lin Hua Continent.

"Mr. Lin, you stay and guard the north." Chen Suifeng stood up, his gaze moving from Lin Tiannan to the others present. "Mr. Zhang, Mr. Cheng, Mr. Wu... The rest of you, come with me to reinforce the west!"

...

Piloting the Magic Cube, Su Ze arrived at the capital of Lin Hua Country in an instant.

However, he didn’t see Chen Suifeng, or even a single Venerable Powerhouse.

It was only after asking Lin Luo and a few others from the Lin Family that he learned of the situation on the front lines. He found out that Lin Tiannan was leading people to guard the north, while Chen Suifeng and a large number of Venerable Powerhouses were defending the west.

A large number of alien beasts from the Myriad Beast Mountain Range were invading the west, including multiple tier-6 alien beasts.

The situation was urgent, so Su Ze immediately rushed west.

The Magic Cube was so fast that Su Ze had no time to observe the situation along the way.

When he arrived at what was once the western border of Lin Hua Country, he discovered it had long since become a field of ruins.

The once-bustling city was gone. Only rubble and countless corpses—both human and alien beast—remained.

The area had become a living hell, choked with smoke and littered with bones. There were no living humans to be seen, only low-tier alien beasts gnawing on dismembered limbs scattered across the ground.

Clearly, this border city had long since fallen.

It wasn’t just this one; several surrounding cities had also fallen!

Su Ze traveled from west to east, deliberately slowing down to follow the path of the invasion. What he saw along the way left him speechless.

Although Lin Hua Country had immediately begun organizing civilian evacuations, everything had happened so suddenly that it was impossible to get everyone out.

Some had difficulty moving, while others had ties they couldn’t sever... There were always those who were left behind, meeting their end along with the cities they called home.

Finally, after flying past four or five ruined cities, he saw signs of life.

Soldiers of Lin Hua Country, drenched in blood, were roaring as they fought the alien beasts.

Their faces were contorted with ferocity and madness. They screamed themselves hoarse, as it was the only way to suppress the fear in their hearts and banish any thought of cowardice or retreat.

Everyone was afraid. After all, this was a battle where humanity was at a disadvantage. Too many of their comrades had died right in front of them.

But no matter how fearlessly they fought, they could not change the outcome: they were being pushed back relentlessly.

The outcome of the battle was never decided by them, but by the top-tier combatants.

From a great distance, Su Ze saw Chen Suifeng through his Perception Tentacles. He and two other Venerable Powerhouses were facing a tier-6 alien beast. All three wielded tier-6 artifacts, allowing them to barely hold their own against it.

He also saw several other Venerable Powerhouses, all in groups of two or three, using tier-6 artifacts to stall for time against other tier-6 alien beasts.

That’s right—they were only stalling for time. They were too outnumbered to actually kill a tier-6 alien beast, even with the help of tier-6 artifacts.

Chen Suifeng and the other Venerable Powerhouses numbered only nine in total, but they faced five tier-6 alien beasts. Some of them had to rush back and forth to provide support, barely holding the line.

Meanwhile, in the city behind them, buses and cars were desperately evacuating people. Countless Evolved could also be seen using the Flying Skill to carry others as they retreated.
