Seth turned his way. "Verdant what now?"
But the blue-skinned figure didn’t reply again. He merely stood there, staring at Seth with a strange gaze.
It wasn’t until the feminine figure beside him, with a noticeably smaller gait, her skin glistening with crystalline rhombus patterns imprinted, her eyes glowing brilliant white, her sky-blue hair flowing like formless stellar mist, spoke up.
"You actually don’t know where you are?" Her voice was soothingly smooth and intoxicating.
Seth’s brows furrowed as he stared at his surroundings warily. "Well... I’m not sure."
The foreign race lady giggled, delicately covering her mouth with her hands. "How is that possible? We’re in Verdant Moon. I don’t think anyone can come here by mistake."
"Moon? Did you just say Moon?" Seth’s lips curled into a confused frown. "I thought void didn’t exist in the origin realm? So how can there be a Moon?"
The foreign race lady suddenly burst into laughter, her voice delicately feminine — too much so. Seth’s lips curled unpleasantly as he was unable to understand how his words provoked laughter as a response.
"Are you okay?" The towering male figure finally spoke once more, his head tilting as he stared down at Seth. "Nessa, I think he hit his head too badly. I don’t think he’ll be able to participate."
The blue mini-giant said this to his companion as he gazed at Seth, his eyes carrying an unreadable glint.
"I can see that, Gione," the foreign lady called Nessa replied as she recovered from laughter, cleaning away the simmering droplets that dribbled from her flaring eye sockets.
The commotion had long drawn everyone’s attention, as various figures sent their Will rippling Seth’s way.
Feeling the unwelcome probe, Seth’s forehead creased into a frown. He might be confused about his current situation, but that didn’t dull his instincts.
His Will flared, sealing his frame in a thin impenetrable membrane.
The various figures barely lingered with their scans before they retracted their Wills, seeing no success in their probe.
Seth pushed against the boulder at his back, his gaze scanning over everyone warily. Until he knew what was happening, he was going to treat every living thing in sight as a potential enemy.
His sight honed back to the duo before him.
The one called Nessa inched forward. She glided so smoothly Seth quickly picked up on the fact that she had no legs — instead, a clustering haze of primordial mist fumed beneath her.
"You... you really don’t know now, do you?" Her blazing eyes stared at Seth.
"Know what?" Seth replied, still confused. Wasn’t this supposed to be a class trial?
Nessa giggled lightly once more. "You are not in the origin realm anymore. This is the Verdant Moon, the biggest moon in the Trizod Galaxy! Of the Memone Star Sector."
Her words hit Seth violently, his eyes widening, unable to comprehend when the transition occurred — even though it was quite obvious.
’It definitely had to be when I picked that card!’ he hissed inwardly. Now he understood why the transportation felt so rough.
It turned out he was passing through the actual vacuum of space!!
For a minute he didn’t know what to say, as the alien lady Nessa just observed his expression with an amused smile.
’Wait... doesn’t that mean if I die here... I die for real?’ The thought brought a whole new level of chill washing down his spine.
He never imagined his first trip into the cosmos would turn out so unplanned and abrupt!
Sadly, he had to shove his panicking thoughts aside as a screen flashed into view.

There was a subtle shift in the atmosphere as every figure in sight suddenly grew tense.
Even the duo before him immediately stopped paying him any further heed, as they stared into the void, their muscles coiling tight.
It was obvious Seth wasn’t the only one with a countdown, and it was painfully clear everyone here seemed to be here for the same thing Seth was here for... a class.
This was bad. With so little information, there was only so much Seth could do.
His palms slowly grew moist underneath the battle suit gauntlets as he felt the pressure mounting, his eyes trained on the countdown.
His heart hammered in tandem with each beat. There were so many uncertainties, so many disadvantages, but somehow Seth still found himself feeling... excited?
Yes, excited! He could feel the heat building up in his veins, the sparks traveling down his spine, the tickle of goosebumps rising underneath his armor.
The love of going against the odds, the thrill of earning victory through grit — that feeling settled.
At this moment Seth’s eyes zoned in, discarding all useless thoughts and questions. Answers would come later, but his victory had to be earned first!

The system’s cold words hung in the air as reality itself began to unravel in real time.
The sky churned and undulated as silent cracks ran down the very fabric of reality.
A cold yellow flow pulsed, sending the cracked space into shattered shards that diffused into nothing.
A glaring light bled into the surface of the moon as a glowing yellow spiraling gate anchored itself into existence.
Whoosh!
Seth’s hair whipped in the wind as figures zipped past him, speeding straight into the portals as fast as they could go.
Neither hesitation nor reluctance could be seen on the alien faces of the masses as they zipped into the portals, their bodies diffusing into light.
Seeing this, Seth didn’t waste any time. Pondering could come later. He didn’t know why everyone was in such a hurry, but he didn’t want to wait behind and find out.
A purple cadence coiled around his frame, his eyes burning bright. His silhouette zipped forward, his Willborne abilities bending the meld of space, making him even faster.
The gate slowly grew larger as he got closer. Realizing this thing was at least several hundred feet high, he plunged his frame into the brilliant swirl of primordial lights.
