Chapter 568 - 550: Saint Peng King’s Battle Manifestation

To the White Demon King, this was a detestable snake. He wanted nothing more than to smash him to smithereens. Given a chance for a sneak attack, he found it impossible to restrain his inner impulse.

The White Demon King glanced at his pale fingers, which were itching for a fight. "Brother Peng, seriously, just let me do it. Today is my wedding day, after all. We can’t let this delay the auspicious occasion."

The Saint Peng King paused, slightly taken aback. ’What is he implying? That I’m too slow at killing this snake? That I’m holding up his wedding night?’

People fight for pride, and the Saint Peng King was no different. Since he had already stepped forward, he couldn’t back down halfway. To do so would only fuel the snake’s insolence.

Furthermore, the demons of the Yaoling Mountain Range would think that he, the King of Hundred Birds, was inferior to the Snake Race’s new Snake King.

"Give me the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, and I’ll get that snake gallbladder for you to steep in wine, Brother Bai."

With a newfound gravity, the Saint Peng King threw out his promise and flashed in front of Tu Xiao’an. They stood less than thirty feet apart, locking eyes.

"Take my snake gallbladder? With just you, from the Bird race?" Tu Xiao’an jeered. He wasn’t even afraid of the Deep Mountain Demon King, so why would he fear another Demon King?

’I don’t mean to hurt your pride, but your cultivation is seriously lacking for a member of the Bird race.’

Suddenly, the Demon Qi enveloping the Saint Peng King’s body erupted. He roared, "I will ask you one last time. Will you return the Immortal Spirit Peacock?"

"And this Snake King would like to ask you if you want to keep your title as Bird King."

"You bastard! Then don’t blame me for getting serious!"

The Saint Peng King’s eyes flashed like the sun and moon. His beak, as hard as steel, was curved like an iron hook. Behind him, black wings sharp as Treasure Swords danced in the air. A storm began to brew, and with every beat of his wings, the razor-sharp edges of his feathers became terrifyingly apparent.

Then, something incredible happened. A pair of white wings suddenly sprouted out, giving him a set of black wings and a set of white wings.

Immediately after, a third pair of wings sprouted from the Saint Peng King’s back, these ones crimson as blood.

With the growth of these two new pairs of wings, the Saint Peng King’s aura surged violently. A suffocating pressure swept across the heavens and the earth. The demons below stared up in terror, their hearts trembling with fear.

’He’s furious! The King of Hundred Birds is finally getting serious! He’s manifesting his combat form!’

A Demon King’s combat form was no joke. They would never manifest it lightly.

Now, new wings of various colors were continuously sprouting from the Saint Peng King’s back, his aura growing more and more intense.

In a short time, a bizarre total of six wings had sprouted from the Saint Peng King’s back. Each one was peerless, simply inconceivable. His power was so immense it seemed to change the color of the world, whipping up fierce gales that radiated outward.

He was now a being with the head of a bird and the body of a man, possessing six pairs of wings: white, black, red, yellow, green, and multicolored. As they all unfurled, brilliant and dangerously beautiful, the Bird King’s majestic aura surged to its apex. Even the Immortal Spirit Peacock Azure Owl was overwhelmed by a palpable fear, barely managing to stay aloft.

Su Rushi, riding on its back, felt its terror and could only stroke it to help soothe its fear.

Meanwhile, across the entire Yaoling Mountain Range, not a single bird remained in the air. All of them were prostrated on the ground, kowtowing in worship in the Saint Peng King’s direction.

Hmm?

Tu Xiao’an was astonished by the Saint Peng King’s transformation. He faintly felt a sense of danger rising in his heart, as if he were treading on thin ice.

"Ding... Super Evolution Body: Golden-winged Roc. Level 37. Possesses six pairs of wings, each with a unique ability. The strongest Divine Bird in the world."

’What? A Super Evolution Body, the Golden-winged Roc?’

Tu Xiao’an was flabbergasted as the system displayed new data.

Legend had it that the Golden-winged Roc fed on Dragons and snakes. It was said to be exceptionally fierce and brutal, so much so that even powerful Dragons were helpless to resist it.

At the very least, the Cyan Dragon would be instantly slain if it were to face the Saint Peng King now.

As the Saint Peng King’s combat evolution finished, a torrential Killing Intent surged from his golden eyes, blasting forth like a ceaseless, violent wind.

His bloodlust was impossible to conceal.

What’s more, what surprised Tu Xiao’an most was that the bastard’s Level had actually increased by one.

For a Demon King, a single-Level increase represented an earth-shattering change in power. This combat form meant the Saint Peng King’s strength had absolutely skyrocketed.

Tu Xiao’an’s expression turned grim. ’It seems I underestimated the King of Hundred Birds.’

This Dapeng Divine Bird had become a Golden-winged Roc, a being that not even the Deep Mountain Demon King would dare to underestimate.

The distant White Demon King saw this and began to laugh, nodding in satisfaction as if he had known about the Saint Peng King’s transformation all along.

’Now, I can sit back and enjoy watching that damned snake’s head part from its body.’

The strength of the evolved Golden-winged Roc was unimaginable. Even if the White Demon King himself were to face it, he would have to go all out. With the slightest mistake, the outcome of the battle would be uncertain.

’You really have to provoke this bird to get results.’

’This is much better. One’s resolve to kill the snake must be firm. A petty squabble won’t do the trick.’

In truth, the Saint Peng King hadn’t wanted to fight Tu Xiao’an to the bitter end. Both were kings of their own races, and a single move could affect everything. The situation was not as simple as it appeared on the surface.

But the situation had forced him into this position, and there was nothing to be done.

However, the Saint Peng King could have just stayed put below without getting personally involved.

After all, if the White Demon King succeeded in killing the snake, the Immortal Spirit Peacock would naturally be left without a master.

There was no need for him to undertake such a thankless task. But the Saint Peng King had charged forward, and once he did, he lost control of the situation and ended up as the White Demon King’s muscle.

Besides, that snake Tu Xiao’an was just too infuriating, too arrogant. Who could tolerate that without teaching him a lesson?

"Tsk, tsk. You wretched snake. I ought to thank you. I haven’t manifested this form in more years than I can count. As repayment, I will make your death an ugly one." The Saint Peng King was now majestic and terrifying, his presence extraordinary. He exuded an air of invincibility, as if looking down upon the world as its unrivaled master.

His words alone revealed how confident he was in his current state. That beak, hard as steel and shaped like an iron hook, looked as though it could peck out Tu Xiao’an’s Snake Gallbladder with the slightest movement.

Tu Xiao’an watched with cold eyes. Although he was shocked, he remained unnaturally calm.

’So what if he grew five extra pairs of wings? Look at him, acting all high and mighty. I wonder if he even remembers his own name anymore.’

’Be as flashy as you want. I, Tu Xiao’an, have nothing to fear.’

RUMBLE...!

Dark Flame began to swirl around Tu Xiao’an’s body. Ever since obtaining his Dark Ability, he had yet to fully unleash it.

’I had wanted to give it a proper demonstration against the Gray Demon King, but that damned rat was too cowardly and ended up running away.’

"Come on. Once I’ve dealt with you Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals, this Snake King will handle that damned hedgehog." As he spoke, Tu Xiao’an shot a sideways glance at the distant White Demon King. "Are you planning another sneak attack? If you are, I advise you to come at me openly. Don’t force me to look down on you."

To be honest, Tu Xiao’an was genuinely worried the damned hedgehog would launch another sudden ambush. The Saint Peng King, now in his combat form, was already putting him under considerable pressure.

"Hmph."

The White Demon King only snorted coldly. ’Dead Snake. Just you wait and die.’

He refused to believe it. ’The Saint Peng King has evolved into the Golden-winged Roc. How could he possibly fail to take care of you?’
