Fang Hong looked at the spherical construct with a copper shell that appeared out of thin air in his hand, suddenly at a loss for words. The weight in his palm was heavy, but not too much or too little, precisely the weight of the Fire Giant.
"It's calculative power, Mr. Knight." Miss Tata's voice was still gentle.
Fang Hong understood in his heart.
Or rather, the moment he opened the Artisan System to inspect the Fire Giant in his hand, he comprehended everything completely.
In that vision, the world that should have been filled with flashing starlight was now empty and void—he couldn't see the connections between elements, nor locate the structural points of matter. It seemed there was only emptiness and boundless darkness.
He seemed to see the end of time and the scene of the world's apocalypse.
But that was just an illusion—
This is a projection over the 'Sea of Light,' with the main world's projection forming the appearances people see here: the Sky Sea, islands, forests, and valleys, along with everything else.
But appearances are just appearances; what they see is a world purely constructed by the spirit. In this place, there is no such thing as elements and matter.
Like a giant's dream, just Fang Hong believes this giant is definitely not Dika. Killing Dika, would this world then break apart and cease to exist forever?
He believed this was certainly not the case, or at most, you could say, this half-plane would completely collapse and vanish. But as Ye Hua and Star said, they had come to this world more than once; this world clearly is more than just the half-plane visible before their eyes—
A sudden doubt arose in Fang Hong's mind about this purely spiritual world, hidden within the light of the Emerald Star—where does it truly originate from? It seemed never recorded in any document?
The real person to uncover this world's secret should have been Princess Rupert's biological mother, but Her Majesty the Queen's purpose was evidently different from theirs at this moment. Her and King of Sand Barbaltan's search for this world was merely to find the gateway to the third world.
Just like the secrets recorded in the notes, which originated from the writings on the slates—if she was right, does this mean Her Majesty the Queen indeed found an alternative route leading to the third world apart from the four Holy Relics left by the Numelin Elves and the Holy Grail pointed by the seven Spires?
The final riddle left by the elves—
At this moment, the ground trembled slightly, and a sharp claw extended from the darkness, landing on the edge of his vision. The pitch-black, slender talon seemed forged of obsidian, with a curved claw deeply embedding into the ground, a crack opening up on the floor and extending to his feet.
Fang Hong looked up and saw the rugged head emerging from the surging black mist, with two golden flames burning in the deep eye sockets. Dragon King Liefgard was looking down at him, his eyes showing a disdainful expression, as if to have finally found this insignificant bug.
Yet there was no surprise in Fang Hong's eyes.
He only raised his hand, gently pressing the spherical construct in his hand. With a 'zi' sound, the construct opened its shell, extending a pair of light wings. The wings fluttered, and the small ball left his palm, flying upward.
He didn't even need to control it with agile gloves, merely watching as the Fire Giant flew out, darting through the stone pillars with an incredible agility and speed, tracing a golden ray towards the front.
And at that moment, Liefgard opened his giant maw, lunging towards him.
It extended its claw, swiping down at Fang Hong. In Fang Hong's vision, it was merely a faint afterimage, but before the afterimage could even approach, a silver light flashed before him.
An elegant construct appeared out of thin air in that place, and the silver Female Swordsman swung her left arm blade forward, the tip of the sword at the center, spreading an azure flame to form a semicircular shield.
Liefgard's claw swept against the shield, which flickered slightly but did not move the Energy Angel behind it an inch.
Standing behind his construct, Fang Hong lifted his head, looking into those cold, familiar golden pupils, letting out a long breath—he had found the game's rules.
So this was it, and Fang Hong finally understood how the incredible battles between Seniman and Ye Hua had occurred before.
Calculative power—
In the system, attributes were divided into five directions—strength, agility, constitution, intelligence, and perception. The first three are physical attributes, while the latter two are commonly referred to as mental attributes.
In this spirit-constructed world, there's naturally no place for physical attributes to exert their influence. As Ye Hua said, in this world, spirit reigns over matter, and the strength of the soul determines everything.
In this projection world, you can create anything out of thin air, but a vague image can only produce something with a mere semblance, vulnerable to attacks. With the calculative power level of a mortal, it certainly isn't enough to support the imagination of bringing forth a real object.
This is as though using the human brain to simulate each logical component on a computer, assembling them into circuits, then putting them together, and finally simulating how they operate to conjure a computer in your mind.
The required level of calculative power, even considering him as a Combat Artisan, despite having a higher calculative power attribute than average, still was not on the same plane. So, even a Fire Giant he couldn't imagine out of thin air.
