The estate had a two-meter-high remote-controlled gate, which only Matthew Lawrence could open.
Even the people who came daily to deliver daily necessities and food could only use a special one-way transmission method to send things in.
Matthew Lawrence’s fingers tapped slowly, one by one, on the handle of the wheelchair, yet it made people’s hearts unconsciously tense up.
"Isn’t it nice to stay here with them? I thought you missed them a lot."
"Them" referred to Michael Green and Chloe Johnson.
"This doesn’t conflict with me going out."
Hearing this, Matthew Lawrence pondered, seemingly grappling with a very difficult decision.
After a while, he left the decision to Bella Green.
"For them to take a child out from the Lawrence Family and still safely sit here, it’s because they raised you for so many years."
Matthew Lawrence spoke slowly, his gaze turning toward Bella Green. Suddenly, he let out a soft laugh.
Yet it made a chill run down their spines.
"Since you don’t wish to be with them, I will have someone send you away."
When Matthew Lawrence said this, his smile remained gentle and harmless.
But the three people in the room all heard the threat in his words...
Their existence was solely for Bella Green.
If Bella Green left, then they wouldn’t have a comfortable life here anymore.
Where would they go, what would happen to them, only Matthew Lawrence knew.
But it was easy to guess that this seemingly kind-hearted man, who was actually ruthless, would never let them go easily.
Bella Green couldn’t hold it any longer, her face became stern.
Expressionlessly, she looked at the man who was smiling at her.
"Have you decided to keep me confined here?"
With this man’s means, she had no doubt that if she insisted on leaving, Matthew Lawrence would insanely kill those two, who were of no value to him...
Though the thought was bloody, she had no doubt he would do it.
Matthew Lawrence thought about it and suggested,
"If you don’t like it here, you can come back to Kyoto with me."
It seemed like a good suggestion.
But Bella Green wasn’t naive; she naturally knew that even if she went to Kyoto, she would still be confined just like now.
Bella Green had no interest in moving to another cage at the expense of tormenting herself.
But she also knew that no matter how much more they talked, it would still come to this conclusion.
"I’m going back to my room."
The girl said coldly, then left without looking at Matthew Lawrence.
After Bella Green left, Matthew Lawrence didn’t hurry to leave either.
Instead, he smiled and looked at Chloe Johnson.
"Next time you have something interesting to say, be sure to wait for me. I’m very interested in Bella’s childhood too."
After saying this, the man finally left.
Inside the room, Chloe Johnson’s face had turned stark white.
Michael Green, though a bit stronger in mental endurance, wasn’t doing much better.
"I really regret bringing Bella back then."
Chloe Johnson couldn’t help but choke out.
If she had stayed with the Green Family all along, would things have been different?
"Don’t think too much. With his means, wherever we sent Bella, he would have found her."
Michael Green held Chloe Johnson, comforting her.
The woman leaned against his chest, already crying uncontrollably.
"Why does he have to... drive us to despair?"
A once happy and fulfilled family had already been ruined by him, wasn’t that enough?
Now, even Bella Green, does he have to destroy her too?
