Chapter 310: The Powerful Death Centaur Generals (III)

Only four Death Generals remained, all of them staring toward the blood-covered Devil standing before them.

The once six-armed monster had now been reduced to nothing but his towering body and two powerful legs, every one of his shoulders ending in shredded stumps where blue blood streamed endlessly into the air while the lingering Anti-Life aura continuously erased every attempt his regeneration made to restore them.

A heavy silence settled across the battlefield, not because any of them pitied the Devil standing before them, but because they truly believed the battle had already reached its conclusion.

Their victory seemed inevitable.

With six of their comrades already dead and the Devil stripped of every arm that had slaughtered them, the remaining four slowly spread apart until they had completely surrounded White.

The one standing directly ahead carried an enormous halberd whose crescent blade stretched farther than an ordinary mountain, while another rested a monstrous Warhammer upon one shoulder, its head engraved with millions of writhing runes leaking Anti-Life energy so dense that even the surrounding atmosphere continuously collapsed into nothingness.

To White’s left stood a Death General wielding two gigantic hooked blades connected by countless black chains wrapped around both of its arms, every movement causing the hooked edges to shriek against one another like living beasts eager to tear flesh apart.

Opposite him, the final commander lowered an impossibly long crimson lance, its sharpened point distorting the very space before it as countless rings of destruction quietly revolved around its tip.

Not one of them spoke as it was obvious that the Devil before them no longer possessed enough limbs to threaten them.

Then...

VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The lance-bearing commander moved first, its colossal six-legged body exploding forward with terrifying speed as every hoof crushed the broken earth into molten ruin.

It lowered its body until the gigantic crimson lance aligned perfectly with White’s head.

The instant it charged, the remaining three launched themselves together.

The chained blades erupted downward from above in an attempt to bind and shred him apart.

At the same time, the halberd swept horizontally toward his waist with overwhelming force, while overhead, the enormous warhammer descended like a falling continent, its Anti-Life aura swallowing everything in its path.

Four attacks from four directions, every possible escape sealed.

Seeing White standing motionless at the center of their convergence, all four Death Generals allowed cruel smiles to spread across their monstrous faces, convinced the battle had already ended before it truly began.

Yet...

White smiled first.

Instead of attempting to evade through brute force or desperately searching for an opening, White slowly lowered his body ever so slightly, causing confusion to flash across the commanders’ faces for the briefest instant.

Why wasn’t he defending himsel...?

The answer arrived before the thought had fully formed.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!

White’s right foot crushed the shattered planet beneath him as the ground detonated beneath the force of the kick, launching his entire body into a violent spinning ascent that slipped through the impossibly narrow gap between all four attacks just before they reached him.

KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The four weapons collided where White had stood only a heartbeat earlier, birthing an explosion so violent that the upper atmosphere itself was ripped away beneath the impact.

The Death Generals barely had time to recover before instinct forced all four of them to glance upward.

White was already above them, upside down and still spinning.

His body completed another rotation before one of his massive legs came crashing downward.

CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!

His heel landed squarely upon the skull of the lance-wielding commander, and the impact was so overwhelming that the gigantic head didn’t merely crack apart but exploded entirely, bone fragments, shattered horns, blue blood, and brain matter erupting across the heavens as every one of the creature’s six legs snapped simultaneously beneath the force.

Its lifeless body crashed into the planet hard enough to split the already fractured surface apart.

White never allowed himself to land.

Using the collapsing corpse itself as nothing more than a steppingstone, he pushed off again with explosive force, sending his body hurtling toward the chained commander in another violent spin.

The Death General reacted instantly.

The countless hooked chains wrapped around its arms burst outward in every direction, attempting to entangle White before shredding him apart, but White simply accelerated into the attack instead of retreating.

His spinning body twisted sideways, allowing one devastating kick to crash directly into the first hooked blade, knocking it violently upward while his momentum carried him through the rotation uninterrupted until his second leg completed the arc.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The heel buried itself beneath the commander’s jaw, twisting the gigantic skull completely around as the tremendous impact robbed the creature of all control over its own weapon.

Without missing a beat, White’s following kick slammed directly into the loose chains themselves, sending the enormous weapon whipping around its owner’s body before the hooked blades wrapped tightly around the Death General’s own neck.

White landed lightly upon the tightening chains, pushing down on them with both feet.

KRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

The Death General desperately clawed at the chains crushing its throat, but the harder it struggled, the tighter its own weapon became until both hooked blades finally completed their work, slicing cleanly through the thick neck before the gigantic head rolled away into the sky while the headless body collapsed moments later.

Only two remained, and unlike their fallen comrades, neither hesitated.

The halberd commander and the warhammer commander charged together with perfect synchronization, abandoning every trace of defense as they sought to overwhelm White through relentless offense alone.

The halberd reached him first.

Its enormous blade split space apart as it thrust directly toward White’s chest, yet rather than evade completely, White twisted his body only enough for the blade to graze harmlessly past before planting one foot firmly upon its broad surface.

For the first time since the battle had begun, genuine surprise flashed across the Death General’s face.

White...Was standing on its weapon!

Before the realization could fully settle, White bent both knees and exploded upward, using the halberd itself as a springboard before descending an instant later.

The Death General instinctively looked up, and the last thing it was White’s knee falling down towards it.

KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The collision caved the commander’s face completely inward before White’s momentum carried him through the shattered skull entirely, bursting out from the back of its head in an eruption of black blood, broken horns and fragmented bone.

Its corpse had not even begun falling before the final Death General arrived.

The enormous warhammer descended with unstoppable momentum and finally connected.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The colossal weapon smashed squarely into White’s back, launching even his monstrous body across the heavens as blood scattered behind him like rain.

The final commander laughed.

After all this time...It had finally managed to send the Devil flying.

Without wasting the opportunity, it charged after him with another thunderous roar, raising the cracked warhammer high above its head before bringing it down once more with enough force to erase mountains.

White’s tumbling body suddenly stopped spinning, his grin widening as he welcomed the attack.

The warhammer descended, and White answered with a single kick.

KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The collision echoed across the shattered planet as White’s leg met the descending weapon head-on, bringing the enormous warhammer to a complete stop before hairline fractures spread across its surface, racing from rune to rune until the entire weapon finally shattered into countless fragments.

The Death General could only stare in shock, but White’s leg never stopped moving.

It continued through the exploding remains of the hammer before burying itself deep within the commander’s chest, every rib collapsing inward as the kick tore straight through its body and shattered its spine.

It erupted from the creature’s back carrying its still-beating heart upon White’s foot.

The remainder of the gigantic body exploded into countless pieces that rained across the battlefield, and silence returned once more.

The Twelve Death Centaur Generals...Had all fallen.

Only the blood-covered Devil remained standing beneath the crimson sky, his body broken beyond recognition, every arm gone, blood pouring endlessly from wounds that refused to heal.

Yet through it all...White still smiled.

The countless Hellish Centaurs that had been charging moments earlier now stood frozen, every monstrous gaze fixed upon the lone Devil standing amidst the mountain of fallen commanders.

The confidence that had filled their ranks only moments ago had vanished without a trace, replaced by an emotion they had believed impossible to feel:

Fear.

Not because White still possessed overwhelming strength, but because he had stood before the greatest warriors of their race with nothing but two legs...and won.
