Mia Ginger was filled with restless excitement.
Suddenly, a piercing ringtone shattered the room’s silence.
Oh, her phone was ringing.
Mia’s first thought was that she had to work overtime, so she quickly rolled off Koa Jackson and grabbed her phone.
Windsor Myres?
She stared at the phone screen for a moment before answering it directly.
Windsor asked her, "What are you doing?"
Mia: "..."
After a while, she replied inexplicably, "Sleeping, it’s almost one o’clock."
"Are you working tomorrow?" Windsor asked again.
Mia responded with a "Hmm", "I already started my internship today, reporting on social news at Sunshining Network."
"Oh." Windsor mused, "Then never mind. I don’t have much to say, just a bit of insomnia, thought I’d chat with you. But since you have work in the morning, forget it. Get some good rest."
"Are you okay?" Mia pondered briefly before asking.
"Nothing much." Windsor laughed.
Mia said goodnight, put down her phone, and snuggled back under the air-conditioned blanket, embracing Koa Jackson.
The sudden call naturally dissipated the previous romantic atmosphere; after a short, low conversation, they fell asleep.
Meanwhile—
Windsor Myres couldn’t sleep.
Tong Tong’s matter wasn’t resolved, and Rosy Harris had come to Cloud Capital. It was giving her a headache.
She wasn’t sure if Tong Tong was saved by Koa Jackson passing by, but it seemed highly likely.
Without considering the appearance and skills described by others, she could guess just from the black Bentley, feeling a bit frustrated. Since when did Koa Jackson start meddling in other people’s business?
Windsor held her phone and thought for a moment before calling Tong Tong again.
Tong Tong hadn’t slept either, so she was naturally surprised to see Windsor’s call. After hesitating, she answered, "Hello?"
"It’s Windsor Myres." Windsor said.
Tong Tong replied in a low voice, "Hmm, I know it’s you."
Being classmates for three years and originally dorm mates, they still had each other’s phone numbers.
Listening to Tong Tong’s calm voice, Windsor didn’t beat around the bush and asked, "Do you know Rosy Harris?"
"Rosy Harris?" Tong Tong was taken aback.
Of course, she knew her.
Rosy was her classmate and one of the school beauty-level girls, similar in temperament to Blair Chester. However, Rosy was more approachable and loved to laugh, while Blair was a bit colder.
She knew Rosy liked Camden River.
In fact, back in school, Rosy and Camden River were secretly matched as the golden couple.
In such a situation, what else could she do but admire from afar?
Camden River showed no interest even in someone like Rosy, let alone her. The first impression he gave everyone was that he wasn’t interested in love and was wholly focused on his studies.
Tong Tong fell into her memories, feeling down and staying silent.
Windsor then asked, "You know her?"
Clearly speaking with certainty.
Tong Tong’s voice grew even softer, "Hmm, classmates."
"She came to Cloud Capital."
"Oh."
"Oh?" Windsor chuckled, "Isn’t your reaction a bit too calm? Camden River brought her here."
Tong Tong’s heart suddenly clenched with pain.
As of now, Camden River was like a wound to her, hurting with even a slight touch. More so, on this sleepless night, when the girl he liked was brought up, she couldn’t bear it.
