Jay Lee delivered this speech so eloquently, even she felt a little embarrassed.
Mia Ginger breathed a sigh of relief and couldn’t help but glance at Reagon Chapman, noticing her complexion change repeatedly. Right now, she seemed a bit dazed, and Mia felt an urge to laugh mischievously because she had never seen Reagon Chapman looking like this—as if she were constipated.
"Come with me for a moment." A steady baritone voice interrupted her thoughts.
Mia Ginger looked up at Jay Lee and found that he was looking at her too. Clearly, he was calling her.
"Oh." Mia nodded and followed him to the pantry.
Jay Lee was holding a glass tea cup, bent down to pour some water, and casually asked her, "Do you want to move to the International section?" Implying he wanted her to work on international news.
Sunshining Network is the most influential comprehensive portal website in China, especially strong in news.
Currently, they are at the headquarters of Sunshining Network. Additionally, the website has several local independent sites, corresponding with local news bureaus, stationed all over the country, forming a web.
But no matter how well it develops, Sunshining Network and national news agencies are inherently different.
In the past two years, a few reporters have started venturing abroad for interviews; it’s in the early stages of expansion.
Jay Lee asked her, obviously impressed by her language skills.
In her heart, she didn’t want to go.
Firstly, she was still a novice, just starting out; she should be grounded. Secondly, she knew that Sunshining Network couldn’t really excel in international news due to numerous constraints.
Mia Ginger smiled softly, pursing her lips, "The Society section is quite good."
Her meaning was clear, and Jay Lee understood, smiling after a brief thought, "Alright then, get back to work."
"Mm." Mia Ginger stepped out of the pantry.
As soon as she stepped out, more than half of the office was watching her.
Mia Ginger froze for a moment, quietly took a deep breath, and returned to her seat with a calm expression.
Reagon Chapman was gone, and many of their group of reporters were also gone. Seeing her return, Hugo Potter approached her and greeted, "Let’s head out together."
"Oh." Mia quickly gathered her things and followed him.
With his camera bag slung over his shoulder, Hugo Potter spoke up as they reached the elevator lobby, "Before leaving, Abbess Annihilator instructed us to cover the news you mentioned."
"About tourism?"
"Yeah." Hugo Potter looked at her, shrugged with a smile, "But my foreign language skills are weak, so you handle the interviews. I’ll just tag along, ready to consult with me about anything, feel free to improvise."
"Didn’t she say anything else?"
"What?" Hugo Potter quickly realized she was asking about Reagon Chapman, smiled and said, "What could she say? Just relax. If the director reprimanded her, it’s not related to you, would she dare to vent on you? The whole office was watching her. But then again, why does she seem particularly hostile to you? Although she speaks harshly to others, she’s not this excessive. What’s going on? Did you offend her before?"
"I didn’t offend her." Mia Ginger felt puzzled and helpless, "I’m speechless, I have no idea."
"Forget about it if there’s no way to explain." Hugo Potter laughed, "It’s not a good thing anyway."
Mia Ginger exhaled lightly with a smile, "Mm."
The elevator quickly arrived, and the two went down directly, heading to the address she had painstakingly found to meet the two elderly at the tourist spot.
The process did not go smoothly.
