The two stayed inside for over ten minutes.
Camden River put down his things, glanced at Windsor Myres lying on the bed, and asked from the bedside, "Why didn’t you discuss it with me beforehand?"
"I wanted to surprise you."
"..." Camden River pressed his lips helplessly, "Alright, get up. Don’t stay in the room too long."
"I don’t want to go down." Windsor Myres looked at him with a distressed expression, "Your parents seem difficult to talk to. I feel uncomfortable. Let’s go down later. I found your bed quite comfy, really soft."
"You came so suddenly, they had no preparation at all." Camden River frowned slightly.
He felt a bit annoyed.
Windsor Myres’ sudden arrival disrupted all his original plans; this first visit was simply a disaster.
He was caught off guard.
Not to mention his parents.
Windsor Myres sat up from the bed and said, head tilted up, "I’m easy to talk to, not picky at your home. What needs to be prepared?"
Camden River: "..."
He glanced at Windsor Myres, genuinely unsure what to say.
The two were simply talking past each other.
After a slight pause, he decided not to go down yet either, saying earnestly, "It’s not about being picky. Understand? My parents are quite traditional, have always had strict expectations of me. Their ideal future daughter-in-law should be quite dignified and proper..."
Before Camden River could finish, Windsor Myres interrupted directly, "Like Rosy Harris?"
"..." Camden River sighed, "Sort of."
He was quite surprised about Rosy Harris as well, but with time pressing, he had no time to beat around the bush with Windsor Myres, so he said briefly, "Rosy Harris is just my classmate. Her family happened to buy a house around here too. We have nothing going on, don’t overthink it. But when you go downstairs, you need to be a bit more careful, especially in front of my parents. Don’t be overly affectionate with me, be a bit proper."
"I’m your girlfriend, right? If I’m not affectionate with you, should that white lotus be affectionate with you? Isn’t that ridiculous?"
"Don’t let that nickname slip out later." Camden River frowned again.
Windsor Myres also felt dissatisfied, "We’re in the room, why do you still speak up for her?"
"I’m not speaking up for her." Camden River said helplessly, "It’s a fact my parents like her. Besides, she hasn’t done anything wrong. Everyone’s here, are you really going to target her?"
"She has feelings for you."
Camden River was taken aback, "Just trust me."
"I trust you, but I don’t trust her. She has feelings for you, she’s already in the house, am I supposed to greet her with a smile?"
"We’re not married yet." Camden River took a deep breath, "It’s your first time at my house. Besides, I already told you, my parents like her. She is my classmate, sure, but she’s also our neighbor. I can’t just kick her out, right?"
"So I’m just supposed to tolerate it?" Windsor Myres looked at him.
"Consider it a bit of toleration for me, okay?"
"Alright." Windsor Myres thought with a raised eyebrow and chuckled, "Then stay at a hotel with me tonight."
Camden River: "..."
"I hardly come by. You’re not going to make me leave this afternoon, right? I want to play for a few days. With your home situation, I don’t want to stay there; I’ll stay at a hotel, and you accompany me." Windsor Myres demanded.
"No."
"Why not?"
