As far as Su Ze knew, Bloodline Crystals also had different levels. So how was he supposed to tell them apart?
Unlike extracts, whose levels could be identified by the color of their evolutionary light, Bloodline Crystals had no such visual indicator. Furthermore, Blue Star lacked the technology to analyze the skills contained within them.
This was something he could only ask Mu Wang about.
Su Ze told Mr. Ya not to touch the five Bloodline Crystals for the time being to avoid mixing them up. He then took out the Soul Nourishing Jade Stone and contacted Mu Wang.
Mu Wang’s voice came through. "Purple Bloodline Crystals can be divided into three levels, just as you saw in the Divine Dice. The crystals were arranged on three tiers. The top tier was left by Sun God-level experts, the middle by Moon God-level experts, and the bottom, of course, by Star God-level experts."
Mu Wang had told Su Ze this before.
Evolvers were also ranked after ascending to godhood. Seven evolutions made one a Star God, eight a Moon God, and nine a Sun God.
Before his death, Mu Wang had been a Moon God-level expert of the Nian Race, and it was from his Bloodline Crystal that Su Ze had absorbed the Space Jump skill.
Meanwhile, the top-tier Bloodline Crystal Su Ze had obtained from the Divine Dice had come from a Sun God-level expert of the Nian Race, from which he absorbed the Bloodthirsty skill.
Disregarding its future potential, the effects of the Bloodthirsty skill were clearly superior to Space Jump. This showed that the power of a Divine Skill Prototype was closely related to the level of its Bloodline Crystal.
Mu Wang continued, "Out in the universe, there are special machines that can identify the level of a Bloodline Crystal and the skill it contains. God-level experts also have many ways to do this. However, if you have neither of those, you can only determine the crystal’s level, not the specific skill inside."
Su Ze thought for a moment. "First, tell me how to determine the level."
"It’s simple. Use your Spiritual Power to probe them and feel the general intensity of the energy within. Then, compare the five Bloodline Crystals.
"The ones with a distinctly stronger energy signature will be Moon God-level Bloodline Crystals, and the weaker ones will be Star God-level. In any case, there’s no chance of finding a Sun God-level crystal, because you’ve already absorbed the only one that was in the Divine Dice."
Su Ze did as Mu Wang instructed, comparing the five Bloodline Crystals.
He found that four of the crystals had energy on the same level, while only one was noticeably more powerful than the other four.
In other words, he had four Star God-level Bloodline Crystals and only one Moon God-level Bloodline Crystal.
When Mu Wang heard the results, he chuckled smugly. "That’s perfectly normal. Do you think Moon God-level experts grow on trees? We wouldn’t bother possessing anyone unless they were an exceptionally talented genius.
"Among all my kinsmen currently on Blue Star, the Moon Gods are definitely in the minority. Most were only Star Gods before. That said, Jiang Pingle and his cohort are certainly Moon Gods, no doubt about it.
"If that Sun God had managed to emerge, he would have eventually replaced Jiang Pingle as the leader. But then he ran into you... just his bad luck."
Su Ze mulled this over for a moment, then asked, "Generally speaking, how powerful are the skills from Star God-level Bloodline Crystals?"
Mu Wang scoffed. "A Star God has only evolved seven times. The divine skills they master are most likely just Tier 7. It’s rare for them to grasp a Tier 8 divine skill. Anyone who *can* master a Tier 8 skill at the Star God stage has the potential to become a Moon God. The race wouldn’t let a Star God like that go to the battlefield. They’d wait until they became a Moon God before sending them into battle—it’s a much better return on investment.
"Their Tier 7 divine skills might be a bit stronger than a beast’s Tier 7 skill, but at the end of the day, they’re still just Tier 7. And the skill inside a Bloodline Crystal is only a Divine Skill Prototype. So, think about it: a prototype of a Tier 7 skill... what tier would you say that’s equivalent to?"
"Tier 6? Or Tier 5?" Su Ze guessed. "It couldn’t be as low as Tier 4, could it?"
Mu Wang replied, "It wouldn’t be as low as Tier 4, but most are around Tier 5. A weak Tier 6 at best. Of course, compared to ordinary skills, these types of skills generally have more ’advanced’ properties and greater potential. But for you, a Star God-level Bloodline Crystal is definitely not a good choice."
Su Ze nodded. That was true.
If what Mu Wang said was true, then he really didn’t need to consider the Star God-level Bloodline Crystals.
’I’d be better off finding a Tier 6 S-rank extract to absorb.’
"What about the Moon God-level Bloodline Crystal, then?" Su Ze asked.
"Now, a Moon God-level one is a decent choice. The skill you get will basically be on par with a Tier 6 S-rank skill, but with greater potential and higher quality," Mu Wang replied.
Su Ze thought of his Space Jump skill. Involving space, it was certainly a high-caliber skill with great potential for future upgrades.
"By that logic, doesn’t that mean the skill I got from the Sun God-level Bloodline Crystal is equivalent to a Tier 7 divine skill?"
Mu Wang said, "You can think of it that way, I suppose. But a Divine Skill Prototype is still just a prototype. It’s not a true divine skill the moment you get it. In the hands of a god-level expert, it might unleash power on par with a divine skill, but right now, its tier hasn’t reached the divine level. And don’t you go thinking you can rely on that skill to directly break through to godhood in the future.
"Once you become a god, it might immediately display its full divine power in your hands and could be easily upgraded into a proper divine skill. But the prerequisite is that you have to become a god first.
"A so-called divine skill is a skill used by a god. Since you’re not a god, even if I gave you a divine skill, you couldn’t unleash its proper power. In your hands, it wouldn’t be a divine skill."
Su Ze nodded. He now had one Moon God-level Bloodline Crystal, which could serve as a candidate for his next absorption. If something more suitable came along later, however, he could always use that instead.
The main problem was that he had no idea what skill was inside that Moon God-level Bloodline Crystal.
All in all, the Moon God-level Bloodline Crystal wasn’t his best option. He still wanted to challenge himself and try to absorb a Tier 7 extract, which was above his current level!
