Chapter 267: Poop Cleaners

He pointed at the screen.

"Give me a list of mutations that can work for both of the cases that you gave me. Like destroying the human waste or processing it into something useful. But lean more into the processing side. Because why waste something when we can use it anyways?"

He grinned slightly at the ceiling.

"Even if it is as a weapon or something even more useful, just tell me about it."

[Affirmative.]

[Running advanced targeted simulations...]

Adrian now had to wait again.

He just stared at the system screen and this time he ended up falling fully asleep. The soft mattress and the quiet room were just too comfortable.

But the system didn’t wake him up that quickly this time. It took hours.

It was only when it was almost nighttime and the moon was shining through his window that Adrian heard a loud ding.

He immediately got up. He wiped a little bit of drool off the corner of his lips with the back of his hand and looked at the system and saw that once again, there were a few options waiting for him. But these were slightly more detailed.

[Found three specific monster combinations based on host preferences.]

[Option 1]

[A monster that can spew out flames for an extended period of time to incinerate the matter. Paired with a monster that can consume the resulting toxic smoke to produce a byproduct like poison.]

The system actually gave him two specific options for animals for both of these monsters.

The first one for the fire spewing was actually a sort of bird which looked exactly like a massive eagle. The image he was looking at, had bright red and orange feathers. This bird basically had the magical ability to spew out incredibly hot flames almost for hours on end before it needed to take any rest.

And even the rest that it needed to take was basically only for mana recovery. Since they were dungeon monsters drawing ambient energy from the surroundings naturally, this recovery happened pretty fast.

Adrian looked at this and stared at the eagle’s picture. He leaned his elbows on his knees and thought about all of this.

’If I just put multiple birds at the same station, they can take shifts. They can just rest when the others are working and work when the others are resting. This will keep the incineration cycle going constantly without burning out the monsters.’

He tapped his chin.

’I don’t think I’ll even need that much firepower right now. But it’s better to have more capacity than less just in case the population booms again.’

Then he looked at the second monster required to get this whole combination working.

This monster was basically a really huge frog that was almost three feet tall. It looked heavy and bloated on the system screen and this frog had these sort of glands located below its throat. There were two different fleshy sacks which were bright neon yellow and they were glowing slightly too.

This frog had the ability to inhale all of the thick smoke from the burning garbage in a really quick way. With just one single massive inhale it could clear the whole area.

It wouldn’t just hold it though. It would process all of this smoke internally and then exhale pure non-toxic air which was basically just carbon dioxide and oxygen and stuff like that.

But the real toxic stuff from the burning waste like heavy poisons got converted and stored inside those glowing yellow glands.

The system text explained that these glands could actually be cut off and harvested. The glands would just rapidly reproduce and grow bigger the more the frog inhaled smoke and the cycle would just continue endlessly.

Adrian nodded slowly. It was a highly efficient setup if he got the whole thing working.

He scrolled down to look at the next method.

[Option 2]

[Station a specialized Lich at the waste site. The Lich uses area of effect curses on the waste to turn the organic matter into an extremely potent liquid poison.]

This time it was entirely different. There was no fire and no giant frogs.

It was basically using a sort of undead monster to rot the garbage even more. The system suggested stationing a Lich down in the landfill. This Lich would just stand there and cast dark curses directly on the waste area. The magic basically just turned all of the organic waste into actual liquid poison which was extremely potent and really really bad for human health.

Adrian just looked at the glowing purple image of the undead skeleton and his face scrunched up.

"Oh hell no."

He was pretty sure a massive lake of highly concentrated curse poison was going to be useful in a siege but he didn’t want any accidents happening near his people. Having such a thing sitting outside or even underneath the residential blocks was not really a good thing.

’Well I could technically build a sort of huge underground bunker room where all of this can happen. That way it doesn’t contaminate the outside area at all if there’s a spill.’

He tapped his fingers on his knee.

’Hmm. I guess I can consider that. Especially if I use the dungeon door thing and just build the whole landfill area inside the dungeon. Wait... why didn’t I think about this before bruh...’ he thought and cursed his own stupidity before moving on.

He thought about the lich for while but he ultimately moved on to the next one. He put the Lich idea at the bottom of his priority list.

The main reason why he didn’t immediately pick it was because his main goal right now wasn’t to get something highly offensive. He just wanted something that could be more useful to his people or to himself. He mainly wanted it for productivity purposes and basically resource output.

He scrolled to the third option.

And this one was exactly what he wanted.
